Are Women More Recession Resilient?

With the recession bearing down hard, I hear many stories about men struggling to cope with the stress of our economic downturn. Four men in my immediate family, and many more in my circle of friends, have lost their jobs during the past year. These are successful guys, but they all seem puzzled about finding a new direction. Are women more naturally recession resilient? Because women are multitasking fiends, and aren’t as tied to career-as-image, they may more easily redefine their own terms of success in tough times. A recent New York Times article points to a trend that might stem from this feminine-recession strength.  Women Now a Majority in American Workplaces
